Artist's Description
This is an older painting of mine - painted in the early 90’s -
This is an area on the island of Maui known as Ulupalakua.
The views from this area are spectacular. One day as I drove through the area, I was so amazed by the views, I had to stop my car.
I spent quite a while there looking at the views. As soon as I got home, I started this painting. I tried my best to remember what I had seen that day.
This is the finished product of that day.
This painting has been in a closet for
years, and now I want to share it.
It is in an old frame.

My name is Clare Ventura. I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii, and I currently live on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have been painting for many years, and now, within the last few years, I have been selling my art work . I enjoy painting in the the Fauvism style, but have attempted other styles as well. It's all fun. I quite often paint whatever catches my fancy at the moment. I have painted many diverse subjects, and I am currently painting landscapes in Hawaii.
