I painted this painting because of the catastrophic volcanic eruption that took place in 2018 on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
This painting depicts the moment in volcanic history when the lava met the sea.
About Clare Ventura
My name is Clare Ventura. I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii, and I currently live on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have been painting for many years, and now, within the last few years, I have been selling my art work . I enjoy painting in the the Fauvism style, but have attempted other styles as well. It's all fun. I quite often paint whatever catches my fancy at the moment. I have painted many diverse subjects, and I am currently painting landscapes in Hawaii.
